We proudly can tell we're almost done with the second floor. Theme: Water.

We're almost ready with the third floor which visualises the water surface. We paint logs, floats and water circles. Here you see that it takes a lot of concentration to get the shape of the watercircles right!

Today we finished the 6th floor! A pinewood!

We started on the fifth floor with our mural (because of the autumn): a deciduous forest. Lots of residents took good care of us with liters of coffee, cakes and candy.

After a summer break, TecKeL is back!!
Liesbeth Verhoeven and Thijs Persijn are working on a new big assignment from WonenBreburg. A seniors apartment building with 8 floors in the east of Breda will feature a different mural on each floor. We invented a concept which shows landscapes of different heights. The first floor will be a seabed, the eight floor will be the sky. All together 1000 square meters will be filled with our design.

2nd project

This week we (Korry Kremers, Liesbeth Verhoeven and Thijs Persijn) start our new project in the art libary of Terneuzen (Holland). We want to depict the landscape of Zeeland in Tape. You can see us working on 17 and 18 June. There will also be individual work from us! The exposition will be open till 25 July
(Open: mon - fri, 13:00-17:00) See you there!!!!!

DRAWING RELEASE!!

Radio interview in 'Grensgeluiden'

On May 30 we are being interviewed by Yasna about our freshly opened wall drawing in Electron. It's broadcasted in the cultural program 'Grensgeluiden' on the local radio station, Stadsrtvbreda. It will be repeated on Wednesday (June 2) at 22 h or you can relisten on internet.

The wall is finished!

May 28, 13 h...the wall drawing is ready. Before we forget, we have to sign our work...

And a few hours later: the OFFICIAL OPENING!

There were two speeches. One by Simone of 'Schatten van Brabant' (Treasures of Brabant), that sponsored our drawing. She emphasized the value of our drawing for keeping the history of Brabant alive.

And there was a speech by Pleun Sint Nicolaas, business unit manager at Spie Nederland bv. Spie is the electrotechnical company that was Electron before. He spoke about what Electron was like when their company was here and he recalled some typical anecdotes of the past: it was quite a hierarchical company, but the employees all had a big heart for it. Where our drawing is now was part of the production plant.

Among the guests were quite some (former) employees of Electron/Spie. We were happy about this and we noticed that our drawings brought up a lot of memories to them.

And that's what we did it for!

It's at Electron, Belcrumweg 19 in Breda. It starts around 16 h with a speech by Pleun Sint-Nicolaas, manager at SPIE bv. SPIE is what was Electron before.

Time flies when you're having FUN!!!

As background we wanted to show the enclosures which Electron produced about 90 years ago. Then we whitened the wall again for a more oldfashioned look. The next step we've taken is to draw other typical Electron machines, pylons and tools on our first layer.
